"Roofing Material" is defined as loads containing in excess of 10% asphalt shingles and asphalt roofing material. Loads containing less than 10% asphalt shingles and asphalt roofing material (for example, loads of wood shingles) will be charged as "Construction Refuse" (if loosely packed and directly from construction site) or "Demolition Refuse and Reloads" (if load excessively compacted). Please see our Disposal Rates for prices on "Construction Refuse" or "Demolition Refuse and Reloads", and for loads less than 6 cubic yards.
Effective October 1, 2000 all Roofing loads received on a "Cash" basis have the price rounded (up or down) to the nearest $1.00. Roofing loads "On Account" continue to be charged to the nearest $0.01.
Effective November 1, 2000 all Roofing loads are charged at the rate of $38.50 per tonne, GST included, subject to a minimum charge of $10.00 per nominal cubic yard (GST included). Minimum charges will be based on the volume of the container (not the material) as determined by our gate attendant.
